FMC Family Conference

The date has changed to Saturday August 7th

The conference will begin at 9:00am and we will wrap things up at 5:00pm

This conference is about centering your family around Christ

We will have Sessions for the whole family, as well as separate sessions for Parents,

teens, and even the youngest kids!

The fee for the day is $40 per adult and $20 per child

However families of 5 or more will receive a discounted rate of $130

Just as with Faith Camp if you cannot afford the rates scholarships are available,

just give what you can and God will take care of the rest!

Serve summer 2010 is on the way! It is time again to report all the great things God is doing here at FMC. If you are interested in receiving SERVE contact the office (337-893-6111) to be added to our mailing list. SERVE reaches nearly 7,000 households in every State, and even across oceans! Along with being our biggest publication, it is also an expensive endeavor; if you are interested in helping us to reach others by donating please let us know!

Pope John Paul II writes in his encyclical Mission of the Redeemer, “God is opening before the Church the horizons of a humanity more fully prepared for the sowing of the Gospel. I sense the moment has come to commit all the Church’s energies to a new evangelization and mission to the nations. No believer in Christ, no institution of the Church, can avoid this supreme duty; to proclaim Christ to all peoples.”

Family Missions Company is an apostolate of Catholic laity, called to foreign missionary evangelism. Filled with the Holy Spirit, we proclaim Jesus Christ and His Gospel to the poor. Today, the Lord is calling many Catholic laity to serve in foreign missions. The need is urgent; we must go into the mission field to sow the seed, and reap the harvest for the Lord. (We are Catholic families and lay missionaries engaged in evangelization and serving the poor in foreign missions.) FMC welcomes families with children, and singles. (Catholic families in mission) We provide counsel to those discerning a missionary vocation; give teaching, training, and spiritual formation; help our missionaries find suitable places for Catholic foreign mission service; and provide logistical support and pastoral oversight for their lives in mission. (We provide Catholic lay missionary training.) Our missionaries are encouraged to maintain ties with their home faith communities, and are expected to raise their own financial support (we give guidance for raising funds). We ask for a minimum two year commitment, and look especially for those who are considering long term service. (We are Catholic singles and families, evangelizing and announcing the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.)

Here at FMC we live by faith, day-by-day trusting in the Lord’s leading and provision. We are engaged in “the greatest and holiest duty of the Church”. Evangelization is the principal service which the church offers to mankind.

Come, let’s follow Jesus, He will make us fishers of men. (We are missionary families and lay missionaries engaged in evangelization and service to the poor in foreign lands around the world.)
